How to use Glympse for the Mercer Surrey Half

The Mercer Surrey Half is a great event, made even better by the support of so many spectators on the route to cheer you on, but how will your friends and family know where and when to look out for you?

We’ve teamed up with Glympse, the location sharing experts, to allow all our runners to share their progress on the course, as we want to be sure those cheers are there at the moments you need them the most.

Sounds good, how do I do it?

Glympse works on Android and iPhones so simply down load the Glympse app from the Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for iPhone) and register.

You’ll need to give Glympse access to your location (don’t worry, you control when you share and for how long). Be sure to add your name and photo to make it easy for people to find you on the map. You can also share location with your friends and family directly, just grant Glympse access to your Contacts in advance.

To join in with the Surrey Half Glympse group so you can appear on our big screen at the Start/Finish line simply share to the public tag @surreyhalf2018, which shows the Mercer Surrey Half route on the map. If you need help to do this, we’ve included detailed instructions below.
